Pintler Billing Services is looking for an ambulance medical biller to join our team. The person selected for this position will work together with the team to provide medical billing for our clients and perform all the accompanying tasks that go with billing. Those tasks include using a variety of computer programs, working with clients, patients, and insurance companies, solving problems within deadlines, and managing time-sensitive tasks within a workflow. Billers review ambulance trip reports and evaluate them for accuracy and compliance, verify insurance and payment resources, assign charges and create claims, and submit claims. Teamwork is essential here, but we are also looking for an efficient self-starter with a problem-solving approach who can work independently when required. Training is provided and opportunities for advancement are available within this fast-growing company.

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Computer (PC/Windows-based and basic office programs) experience required. (Testing will be administered to determine proficiency with this skill.)
  • Experience working within a professional office setting. Customer service skills required.
  • Possess a combination of willingness to seek help and direction, but also motivated to work independently.
  • Experience with HIPAA and similar laws (preferred but not required).
  • Ambulance or other medical billing experience (preferred but not required).
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
  • Experience organizing a workflow and managing multiple, varied tasks.

Position schedule: M-F, 40 Hours per week

Compensation: competitive wage, DOE
